Press Conference about the Participation of Maria Karapanagioti as a Rapporteur at the 5th MeetSharedance 

Maria Karapanagioti, choreographer, dance therapist and teacher, participated in the MeetShareDance International Dance and Disability Event held in Helsinki, Finland, June 8-11. The International Dance Festival was organized for the 5th year by this organization, in collaboration with DanceAbility Finland and the Kaaos Company Finland, and attracted the interest of many dancers, dance teachers and related professionals from all over Europe. Mrs. Karapanagioti, the only one rapporteur from Greece, presented a workshop on the DanceDisability method to the participants and presented the actions of “Dryades en Plo” in Greece. The experiential workshop aimed at providing both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills that are essential for the education and support of people with disabilities through dance. The festival was completed with the presentation of a dance project and the participants gave promises they would meet again the following year, when “Dryades en Plo” will give a dynamic presence.
